Private lessons are perfect for the individual or family that prefers one-on-one coaching or who would simply like a training program that meets their own specific needs or schedule, without having to commit to a set number of lessons.

With one-on one training, a variety of topics can be covered including:

• Basic Obedience (such as leash manners, sit, down, come and stay)

• Advanced Obedience (such as off-leash control or getting your dog to respond to your commands at the dog park, beach or crowded street)

• Prevention or modification of problem behaviours (see Behavioral Counselling)

• Improving your overall relationship with your dog, including how well you relate to and communicate with each other.

• Even tricks, from as basic as shaking a paw to advanced as retrieving a Kleenex when you sneeze!

Private lessons really offer you the flexibility to teach your dog anything! They can also be paid for individually each time we meet and can be done in your home or at a location convenient to you. There is an additional charge for extended driving distances.

Semi-Private Lessons

Share your lessons with a friend or family member who would also like training with their dog and the cost of the lessons can be shared between you.

Cost of Private Lessons:

$65/hr plus HST *on the Saanich Peninsula (Sidney/Brentwood Bay areas)
*Discount rates are available for clients currently enrolled in group classes with CommuniCanine. Additional charges of $20 per 15 minutes of driving time apply outside of the Peninsula.

OR Purchase a Training Package - $240 (plus HST) for four 1 hour sessions. Please note, all 4 sessions must be booked within 3 months of your first session.
